Friday Night Cocktail Recipes

Because you deserve a relaxing drink after a long week! Here are some classic cocktail recipes that are perfect for a Friday night:

1.            Margarita:
•             2 oz tequila
•             1 oz triple sec (orange liqueur)
•             1 oz fresh lime juice
•             Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
•             Lime wedge for garnish
•             Ice
•             Rim the glass with salt (optional). Shake all the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a chilled margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

2.            Old Fashioned:
•             2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
•             1 sugar cube
•             2 dashes Angostura bitters
•             Orange or lemon twist (for garnish)
•             Ice
•             Muddle the sugar cube and bitters in an old-fashioned glass. Add a large ice cube and whiskey. Stir gently and garnish with a citrus twist.

3.            Martini:
•             2 oz gin or vodka
•             1/2 oz dry vermouth
•             Lemon twist or olive for garnish
•             Ice
•             Stir the gin or vodka and vermouth with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist or an olive.

4.            Cosmopolitan:
•             1 1/2 oz vodka
•             1 oz triple sec (orange liqueur)
•             1/2 oz cranberry juice
•             1/2 oz fresh lime juice
•             Orange or lime twist for garnish
•             Ice
•             Shake all the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a chilled martini or cocktail glass. Garnish with a citrus twist.

5.            Piña Colada:
•             2 oz white rum
•             2 oz coconut cream
•             4 oz pineapple juice
•             Pineapple wedge and cherry for garnish
•             Crushed ice
•             Blend all the ingredients with crushed ice until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry.
