Your little one may dream of performing for sold-out crowds or being a famous movie star, but you will be happy to know that a UCLA study found that students involved in the arts tend to have higher academic performance across the board!

4. PHYSICAL LITERACY & TEAM SPORTS
Physical literacy is the process of developing the fundamental movement skills that all children need, such as running, hopping, throwing, catching and jumping.
5. ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The way of the future is entrepreneurial. There are now amazing programs that teach kids the lessons of goal-setting, planning, creative thinking, resourcefulness, determination and problem-solving.
6. LEGO & STEM
LEGO promotes fine motor skills, improves creativity, develops problem-solving and mathematical thinking, persistence, lateral thinking and planning skills. Afterschool programs are now using LEGO to make STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) challenges more interesting & accessible to kids.
